Overcoming My Fears Of Networking
This is I know; an unlikely subject to begin a blog post. But it is exactly what I deal with every time I try sometime new or need to initiate a conversation with others that I do not know. And my mom would say "Shirley just do it scared cause sitting there like a bump on a log won't get you any where" Wise woman my mom..tough but wise. So here goes, I"ve been knocking about on the internet for a while now. I am ashamed to say just how long considering I.. by now should be a millionaire (Smile) by my standards of course.
I am happy to report that for the most part my fears were unfounded. Basically people are interested in others and do not mind being approached..with respect. And we all know (those of us in this business) that there will always be exceptions to the rule. I have learned that my trepidations have more to do with these few than the majority.
Silly I know. but there it is. Sorta' like what Forrest Gump said "Life is like a box of chocolates you never know what you're gonna' get" Even so I haven't let it stop me from moving forward..doing it scared. And goodness now with all of the social group sites around the internet.....can you say..Land Mines!! But I digress. In fact my desire to have success on the internet is much stronger than any fears. This is how I overcome any rejections or nasties.
There are others just like me daily paying their dues to prosper, like-minded entrepreneurs hitting the keys on their PC and phones making it work and bringing home the bacon. My hats off to you.
